The Drillisch AG is a listed public limited company and offers telecommunications services. Drillisch was founded in 1983. The combined group of companies has about 384 employees. In H1-2010 the turnover was €177.0 million (H1-2009: €162.4m)

The mobile communications division is the primary core of operations of the Drillisch Group, and is in the responsibility of the wholly owned subsidiaries Drillisch Telecom GmbH and simply Communication GmbH. The group holds service provider licences for the T-Mobile, Vodafone, E-Plus and o2 networks and sells attractive credit and debit products relating to mobile communications through its brands Alphatel, Telco and VICTORVOX.

In 2005 Drillisch AG became the first service provider to begin to establish successfully discount products on the German wireless services market. At that time only niche products, these services have since proven to be a growth driver on a market which is stagnating overall. The brand simply has become established as one of the leading providers in this market segment and is continually expanding its product line. In addition to telephony at low discount rates, simply offers flat rates for mobile phones and its own products from the growth sector 'mobile Internet'. In May 2008, Drillisch launched a new discount brand - maXXim – and regained the price leadership. maXXim customers have been making phone calls at the lowest rates in this segment. The trend towards low-price telephone calls in combination with the best quality has not abated. Drillisch AG has profited from this development from the very beginning. Both of these divisions make good profit contributions of sustained high quality.

We placed our first products in the second growth sector data — mobile Internet — on the market in 2007 and have continuously expanded our offered services in this sector since that time. Drillisch AG serves the dynamically growing interest with its own products and with suitable sales cooperative ventures. The data sector will contribute a healthy share to our operating profit even in the current fiscal year, but further developments will undoubtedly be dynamic in the following years.

As at 30 June 2010, the number of mobile subscribers amounted to 2.290 million.

The business area software services was brought together mainly within the subsidiary company IQ-optimize Software AG and contains B2B-solutions. The billing division focuses on the company’s proprietary billing system respectively billing software. The workflow management system division focuses on the improvement and marketing of the company's proprietary IQ-work software.

Based on current planning, the Management Board expects further improvement in the profit situation for the year 2010 as a whole – Our EBITDA target for fiscal 2010 is €46 million.
